How to connect a TEac PC Floppy drive to the Yamaha FD-051 From personal communication by Lauri Mela The fdd controller is Yamaha FD-051. I was lucky to find an old Teac 1.44MB diskdrive (Teac FD-235HF 3240) which has a lot of jumper settings onboard. Original setting for setting density was automatic, but I switched a jumper so that the density would be set by HD IN on pin 2. Changed DS1 to DS0. Changed pin 34 from "disk change" to "ready". The drives light still behaves oddly I think, but at least the light isn't always on. Now the drive works perfectly with my MSX!
