Philips NMS8245 service manual updated Sat, 18 Nov 2017 13:05:56 +0000 ../?p=811 With the aid of MSXHOLDER aka ABUUR I have added some missing pages to the NMS8245 service manual.

Available here!

VG-8230 and VG-8235 high resolution scans of PCB and circuit diagram ../2017/06/16/vg8230-high-resolution-scnas-of-pcb-and-circuit-diagram/ Fri, 16 Jun 2017 08:30:40 +0000 ../?p=800 When I made the scan of the Philips VG-8230 and VG-8235 service manuals, I only had a photocopied low quality version of the manual.
The quality of PCB and circuit diagrams were not optimal.

Thanks to Jipe (Jean-Pierre Dubois) I now have improved circuit diagrams(VG-8230 and VG8235) and PCB (VG-8230).

Included on the Manuals and guides page.

Conversion to WordPress finished! ../2017/01/07/conversion-to-wordpress-finished/ Sat, 07 Jan 2017 11:11:27 +0000 ../?p=636 The conversion to WordPress is finished!  Not only did I move the old content, such as pages and documents and files over, I did my best to check every link and did reformat rearrange some pages.

I think all link rot is gone (for now, I have checked every external link and made local copies of pages that disappeared. Also my many mistakes from previous conversions (the site went from Frontpage Express in 1998 via handwritten html to CMS Made Simple and now to WordPress) should be gone now. The site will be uptodate and consistent for many years now!

Please note that I prefer you read the pages and from there download the articles and archives. I do consider deep linking to documents a way of misusing my website (which I pay for!) without respect for my efforts. I actively try to make this impossible, also leeching the whole site is discouraged technically and will result in temporary bans of your IP. The licensing applicable makes it possible to store any of the files on your own website, so please do that instead of leeching and deeplinking and stealing my bandwidth. Note that my pages require attribution and a link back to this website.

New website! ../2017/01/02/new-website/ Mon, 02 Jan 2017 10:40:44 +0000 ../?p=68 New website January 2017. WordPress based, better security and updates, every page newly entered and links checked. Content checked, all content locally hosted now. Deep linking and leeching the site discouraged.

MSX 1 ROM Basic

  • Disassembly by Stefano Bodrato. It can be built with the current z88dk variant of “z80asm” (z80asm -a msxbasic).
  • Now with modified example with zxfont.
  • V2.0 This updated version unveils most of the maths related portions (look at the constants section, to have an idea of the huge work behind it..).
Also cleaned up the labels a bit and began putting comments here and there. It is very difficult to change the ROM without breaking the compatibility due to the way the several ROM pages work one each other.. but the ZX Spectrum style skin was too just funny !
The easiest way to enjoy customization is to exclude the HOOK calls, so added an option for it 😉
